An audio zine that explores the outdoors from queer perspectives

My friend Jonathan and I were struggling to find media focussing on queer people’s experiences of the outdoors so we created our own, Queer Out Here.

We bring together stories and soundscapes from around the world to hear how queerness might intersect with and influence people’s experiences of outdoor spaces and activities.

Queer Out Here is a collection of interviews, field recordings, sound art, music, spoken word, documentaries and more.

We hope that the zine format encourages people to create a variety of pieces, exploring and interpreting the outdoors in different ways.

To create each issue, we rely on submissions from people all over the world. So if you identify as queer/LGBTQIA+ and enjoy the outdoors, why not get in touch.
